Chevy Chase Trust Supports Garden Club of Chevy Chase
Chevy Chase Trust was proud to sponsor the Chevy Chase Garden Tour on Saturday, May 18, 2019. The event was hosted by the Garden Club of Chevy Chase and offered attendees the chance to visit eight gardens in Historic Chevy Chase Village. The Garden Club of Chevy Chase was founded in 1926 and seeks to educate members on horticulture and the environment. They have a long standing history of supporting civic organizations and assisting in the beautification of Chevy Chase. The GCCC supports a number of national and local projects including spearheading outreach efforts of the U.S. National Arboretum, offering financial support to the Garden Club of America’s Scholarship programs, financial support to the Friends of Chevy Chase Circle, support of the conservation and enhancement of Western Grove Park, the design and maintenance of plantings at the entrance of Chevy Chase Library, and more.
“The gardens were gorgeous, and the houses were stunning. The ladies of the Garden Club were very helpful and attentive hosts,” said Chevy Chase Trust Vice President Melissa Moroney. Managing Director Paula Landau also attended the event.
