Amitha is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive program of audit coverage for Chevy Chase Trust and its subsidiaries.

Prior to joining Chevy Chase Trust, Amitha was a Vice President of Internal Audit at Sunrise Senior Living where she led and supervised the company’s overall Enterprise Risk Management program and presented the related Annual Audit Plan to the Audit Committee. Amitha is an accomplished Certified Internal Auditor with over 16 years of experience in Internal Audit. She has managed, led and provided strategic direction over internal audit, risk management and corporate controls function in diverse industries such as financial services, healthcare, hospitality and real estate. Her core expertise includes establishing, maintaining and optimizing Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance programs and planning, supervising and executing audits to ensure compliance with policies and regulations. Amitha is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, India.
