Chevy Chase Trust was a proud sponsor of Signature Theatre’s Sondheim Award Gala on May 16, 2022, at Capital One Hall.

This year, the Sondheim Award for career contributions to American musical theatre went to the incomparable Carol Burnett, beloved comedienne, actor, author, singer and writer.

In addition, Merrill Shugoll and Mark Shugoll, co-CEOs of Shugoll Research, received the J. Watkins Distinguished Service Award for those who have made an extraordinary impact in the D.C. area through their advocacy and passion for the arts and arts education.
